One team, the whole sensing chain

Landsub Global designs and manufactures distributed fiber optic sensing (DFOS) equipment — DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing), DTS (Distributed Temperature Sensing) and DTSS-BOTDR (Distributed Strain & Temperature Sensing) — plus specialized products and services for oil & gas, power, transportation and mining.

What does "infrastructure provider" mean in practice? It means the numbers on our datasheets are numbers we can defend in the field. Our DAS covers 160 km per dual-channel unit (86 km in typical single-channel applications) and locates vibration events to within ±2 m at a phase-noise floor of 0.03 rad/√Hz. Our DTS reads temperature to ±0.5 °C with 0.8 m spatial resolution over 30 km per channel on single-mode fiber (20 km on multimode). Our DTSS-BOTDR resolves strain to ±5με across an 8000με measurement range in one second or less. And our in-service OTDR fiber monitor watches live telecom-grade fibers to 100 km with ±1 m fault location, 7×24 online. Every one of these figures has been verified on customer assets, not only in the lab.

Four in-house technology moats behind long-distance monitoring

Why can Landsub Global tune a system to a specific pipeline, tunnel or cable when many vendors can only ship a standard box? Because the entire sensing chain is engineered in-house — nothing in the signal path is a black box we cannot open. The optical path, the mechanical structure, the demodulation algorithms, the AI event classification and the fusion of sensing with communication traffic on the same fiber are all developed by our own engineers. Engineering

From photons to detection decisions

A fiber optic sensing system is only as good as its weakest link, so we engineer every link in sequence:

  1. Optical path design — pulse shape, wavelength choice and interferometric architecture are selected for the target range, spatial resolution and measurand.
  2. Demodulation — phase, frequency and intensity signals are reconstructed by our own algorithms, preserving weak events at the far end of the fiber.
  3. AI event classification — raw traces are converted into named, actionable events with location, reducing nuisance alarms before they reach the operator.
  4. Field calibration — alarm thresholds and event models are tuned on the customer's actual asset: soil, terrain, traffic and interference are all different.
  5. Integration — outputs are delivered into SCADA, control rooms and, where required, UAV-linked patrol workflows triggered directly by DAS events.

Service Model

How a pipeline and cable monitoring project is delivered

How does a Landsub Global project actually run? Every engagement follows the same delivery path — the same engineering team that designs the system stays responsible for how it performs.

  1. Step 1 — Route and scenario review. We start with a route and scenario review to understand the asset, its risks and its existing systems.
  2. Step 2 — Sensing design. We propose the sensing technology, fiber routing and alarm logic — including whether existing dark fiber or in-service cables can be reused through sensing-communication fusion.
  3. Step 3 — Deployment and commissioning. Installation, commissioning and on-site calibration follow, where our engineers tune event models against real field signatures.
  4. Step 4 — Operations support. After go-live, we support alarm review, model updates and system health checks for the life of the installation.

Beyond new deployments, our service model covers upgrades and specialty work. AI Sentry™ retrofits AI event classification onto existing DAS/DVS systems — including third-party hardware — lifting recognition accuracy to ≥95% (DAS) or ≥90% (DVS) without replacing the installed base. Our pig tracking service has delivered real-time pig trajectory, position and speed over a cumulative 3000+ km of pipeline. And our in-service fiber monitoring keeps live telecom and composite cables under 7×24 watch with ±1 m fault location.
